Georgios Giannakopoulos

Visiting Research Fellow, Centre for Hellenic Studies, King’s College London/ Lecturer in Modern History, City, University of London

I grew up in Greece and I studied political science and history in Athens (BA, MA Panteion University, Athens). I hold a PhD in Modern History from Queen Mary, University of London. I am currently a lecturer in Modern History at the Department of International Politics, City University of London and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Hellenic Studies at King's College London. I'm also affiliated with the department of International History at the LSE. My research focuses on the history and politics of Britain and Southeastern Europe in a Global Frame since the late nineteenth century.
