Gillian Hewitson

Lecturer, Department of Political Economy, University of Sydney

Gillian Hewitson has teaching and research interests in feminist economics, feminist analyses of the history of economic thought, and the constructions of race, gender and class in colonial and post-colonial discourses, with a special interest in the way in which economic discourse shaped Australian economic progress. More recently, Gill has become interested in the political economy of meat, especially in relation to sustainability from a global perspective.
