Givemore Munhenga

A qualified entomologist, with over ten years’ experience in providing expertise and overseeing research in malaria vectors and their control. Employed as a Senior Medical Scientist with the National Health Laboratory Services and jointly appointed as a Lecturer with University of the Witwatersrand, Faculty of Health Sciences School of Pathology. My research focuses on the development of insecticide resistance by insect species of medical importance and use of this knowledge to develop models for resistance management in vector control programs. Currently piloting the potential of applying the Sterile Insect Technique technology as an additional vector control tool targeting Anopheles arabiensis.
