Gloria Truly Estrelita focuses on Indonesia’s contemporary history, particularly carceral confinement. She earned her master’s degree in Criminology from Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta. She also holds an LLM from Kyushu University, Japan, and a Master 2 in Asian studies from École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris. Before coming to France in 2013, she worked at the Centre for Criminological Studies in Indonesia and taught Criminology as a guest lecturer at Universitas Indonesia. She is currently a PhD student at the Centre Asie du Sud-Est (CASE), EHESS Paris.
