Casual Academic and Sessional Tutor in Film and Media Studies, Deakin University

I have recently submitted my PhD dissertation titled 'Re-visioning Australian Social Realism through a Feminine Lens'. My thesis focused on issues of femininty, feminism and affective address in contemporary Australian social realist film as made by female practitioners.

My current research interests include intersections of affect and female consciousness, celebrity and persona studies, and Australian cinema history. I am a sessional instructor in Cinema History and Film Studies, and Media & Communication at Deakin University, Melbourne.
