Gurdane's current project involves the increasing urbanisation and projected climate change that has led to the need for enhanced design guidance for the built environment. Designers and planners need to be aware of the effects that urban climates will have on theperformance of their buildings. In turn, they should also take intoconsideration the impact of their developments on their local exterior climates.The aim of the project is to produce simplified and robust decision support tools to assess these impacts. This will be in the form of practical software tools and improved CIBSE guidance.
