Hamid Kian Gaikani

I am a PhD candidate at UBC in Prof. Corey Nislow's lab, where I use budding yeast as a means to investigate unique proteins conferring resistance to environmental stresses upon extremophile organisms, such as tardigrade. I use molecular biology, high-throughput screening, as well as systems biology to understand the functional and molecular details of such proteins.
