Research Fellow, Psychiatry, UCL

I'm currently a postdoctoral fellow at the UCL Division of Psychiatry. I'm broadly interested in the social determinants of poor mental health, and my research to date has focused on understanding the sociocultural context of psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia). I'm particularly interested in teasing out how socioeconomic factors and racism contribute to the much higher psychosis risk in some ethnic minorities in western European countries.

Before I came to UCL, I finished my PhD and a short postdoc at the University of Cambridge. I have a Masters in Public Health, and an MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy, I have also worked in higher education policy, public sector pensions, and health policy.
