Doctoral Candidate in Religious Studies, L’Université d’Ottawa/University of Ottawa

I completed my undergraduate degree in religious studies at McGill University in 2017 and my master's degree in religious studies at the University of Ottawa in 2020. I'm currently in the third year of my doctoral degree in religious studies at the University of Ottawa.

In my master's, I studied the podcast "Harry Potter and the Sacred Text" and explored the ways in which the podcast appropriated religious rituals into non-religious spiritual technologies.

In my doctoral work, I study non-religious representations of the afterlife on television. My current focus is on the television show "The Good Place."

I have a passion for understanding how people might use popular culture to aid in meaning-making processes.
