Heather Bednarek

Heather Bednarek is an associate professor in economics at the Chaifetz School of Business at Saint Louis University with a secondary appointment in the SLU Center for Health Law. She is a health economist with research interests in health policy including private and public health insurance coverage such as state Medicaid expansions. She has also published research on the economics of cancer and its impact on employment, and the social determinants of health. Prior to SLU, she worked as a research fellow at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in Washington, D.C.
