Heather Young-Leslie is Senior Advisor, Research Development, Office of the Vice-President Research and Innovation, and Adjunct Professor, Department of Anthropology, University of Alberta. Her research has examined cultural responses to public health messaging in major international campaigns, from WHO's maternal-child health initiatives in Tonga, to the global fight against HIV in Papua New Guinea, and now, the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. Her current role is as peer mentor, assisting faculty to research grant success.
