Lecturer In Criminal Law, University of Tasmania

Helen completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Tasmania in 1987, majoring in Japanese and English Literature. In 2002 she returned to study, completing a Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2006. In 2012 Helen was awarded a PhD in Law. Her PhD examined the construction of consent in Tasmanian sexual offences trials. She has been employed in various capacities during her years as both an undergraduate and a postgraduate at the Law Faculty. She is a lecturer in Criminal Law, a post-doctoral research fellow engaged on two ARC funded projects and the Executive Officer of the Tasmania Law Reform Institute.
