My name is Houssem Ben Lazreg and I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Alberta with the Department Modern Languages and Cultural Studies. I am also teaching Arabic and French and working as a freelance translator/interpreter.
My research areas include politics and translation, Middle Eastern graphic novels, and Islamist militant movements. My dissertation focuses on the representation(s) of conflicts in the Middle East through media translations.
