Senior Lecturer in Game Design and Games Studies, Teesside University

Currently finishing off a PhD in games and motivation, much of which has focused on how Games Workshop interacts with its customers. At Teesside University, in addition to teaching at undergraduate, masters, and foundation level, I am actively involved with the Arts Research Group, as well as developing new materials for both existing and new undegraduate courses.

At University of Hertfordshire, as well as my lecturing duties, I was Partnership Manager for the Creative Enterprise degree, School of Creative Arts, liaising with four partner colleges across Hertfordshire to maintain academic standards and best working practices. I was an active researcher in the Media Research Group, including organising speakers and activities when the main organiser was unavailable for a semester. As a group we organised the first international Game of Thrones Conference in 2017. I was also actively involved in the Learning and Teaching Group.
