Isabella Kahhalé

PhD student in Clinical and Developmental Psychology, University of Pittsburgh

Isabella Kahhalé is a a fourth-year Clinical-Developmental PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) studying early life adversity, neuroscience, antisociality, & prosociality. She is passionate about working with minoritized communities and addressing various downstream outcomes faced by at-risk populations throughout the lifespan. After graduating with a B.S. in Cognitive & Brain Sciences from Tufts University, she joined the Stanford Social Neuroscience Lab to study the neural foundations of empathy. ​She now works with Assistant Professor Jamie Hanson at Pitt to understand how adverse childhood experiences influence the development of the brain, aggression, and empathy.
