Jac Larner

I am a Lecturer in Politics at Cardiff University where I teach Political Behaviour and Research Methods. My research interests focus on elections, political psychology, voting behaviour, national identity, and survey methodology. I also have expertise Welsh and Scottish politics, and sub-state politics more broadly. I completed my PhD, titled 'The Multilevel Voter: Identity, Territory and Electoral Behaviour', in September 2019.

As of January 2021, I am a member of the research teams carrying out the 2021 Welsh Election Study and Scottish Election Study: the two largest sub-state election studies ever carried out in the UK.

Prior to joining Cardiff in my current role, I was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research, a leading centre for survey research. During my PhD, I worked as a Research Assistant on the British, Scottish, and Welsh Election Studies, as well as the Future of England Surveys.
