Jackie is a Research Associate at Nelson Mandela University's Institute of Coastal and Marine Research. She also works as a carbon project developer at Climate Neutral Group, a part of Anthesis. She completed her PhD in 2016 at Nelson Mandela University, where her research has focused on assessing responses of blue carbon habitats in South Africa to current and predicted threats associated with global climate change.
