PhD Candidate, University of Southampton

I am a final year PhD. Candidate at the University of Southampton. My research is primarily focused on improving therapies for Alzheimer's disease, and in particular trying to harness the power of our immune system to treat patients. My project is in collaboration with a Danish pharmaceutical company, which gave me a chance to work in Denmark last year and gain an overview of how the pharmaceutical industry works.

I am passionate about science communication and I enjoy discussing my work with a variety of audiences, giving talks anywhere from international science conferences to the local pint of science festival in Southampton. I enjoy writing about my own research, but also important issues for science in general.
