James George Sekonya

Lecturer and Researcher, Department of Conservation Management & Sustainability Research Unit, Nelson Mandela University, Nelson Mandela University

I have trained in Ecology and Geography and my research interests lie in the use and trade of Non-timber Forest Products (NTFPs) and sustainable rural livelihoods. Currently my focus is on the cross-border value chains of NTFPs and the governance of common pool resources for equitable distribution of benefits. This work takes place under the auspices of the DST/NRF Bio-economy Research Chair based at University of Cape Town.
