Jamie Medhurst

Professor of Film and Media, Aberystwyth University

Research interests include, media history and policy, media and politics, and documentary film history and analysis. Author of 'The Early Years of Television and the BBC' (Edinburgh University Press, 2022) and 'A History of Independent Television in Wales' (University of Wales Press, 2010). Currently working on a book, 'Programmes, Politics and Protest: broadcasting and society in Wales in the 1970s' (to be pubished by the University of Wales Press in 2025). Member of the Steering Committee of the Entangled Media Histories network and Chair of the Academic Advisory Group of the Wales Broadcast Archive.
