Media history, media policy, media and politics. Currently working on three projects: the early years of television and the BBC (in the 1920s and 1930s) - book out from Edinburgh University Press in 2022. Also working on a Leverhulme Trust-funded project on broadcasting and society in Wales in the 1970s - book out from the University of Wales Press in 2024. Working on a history of post-war television in Britain between 1946 and 1960. I'm a member of the steering group of the Entangled Media Histories research network, a member of the advisory group of the National Broadcast Archive of Wales, and of the 'Connected Histories of the BBC' research project based at the University of Sussex.
