Jamie was educated in the United Kingdom, receiving undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Warwick, and his Ph.D. from the University of Essex. He has worked at Australian Catholic University since 2016. His current research will be encapsulated in his forthcoming book, 'Nietzsche and Pascal: Transfiguration, Despair and the Problem of Existence' (Bloomsbury).
