Jane O’Connor

Jane O’Connor is a Reader in Childhood Studies at Birmingham City University. She is the author ofThe Cultural Significance of the Child Star(Routledge, 2008) and co-editor ofChildhood and Celebrity(Routledge, 2017). Jane has written extensively in the areas of representations of childhood and children’s engagement with media and digital technology. She currently leads two international projects exploring the digital transformation of education. Jane is an academic advisor to the Childrens Media Foundation, UK.
