I am the Programme Lead for Food Science courses at Glasgow Caledonian University. My PhD was in Molecular Microbiology determining the genes involved in the production of Bacillus cereus emetic toxin, post doctoral research was funded by the British Heart Foundation and Heart Research UK investigating the role of cholesterol trafficking proteins in removing cholesterol from cells. Further work on cholesterol trafficking proteins was funded by Alzheimer's Research UK.
