Assistant Professor, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Department of Psychiatry, Western University

Dr. Sukhera is an Assistant Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. At London Health Sciences Centre, he is Senior Designate Physician Lead for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and works in the inpatient and outpatient mental health programs.

He is actively involved in multiple committees and councils at the local, provincial and national levels. His research focuses on implicit bias recognition and management in health professionals, particularly related to mental illness and addictions.

Dr. Sukhera studied medicine at the Medical School for International Health (MSIH), an innovative collaboration between Columbia University and Ben-Gurion University in Israel and completed his residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Rochester in New York. He is pursuing a PhD in health professions education through Maastricht University and is a Fellow at the Centre for Education Research and Innovation at Western University.
