Javier Lorenzo Navarro

Javier Lorenzo-Navarro received the M.Sc. degree in informatics from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPG), in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree from ULPGC, in 2001, with the work entitled ”Feature Selection in Machine Learning based on Information Theory” for which he obtained the Best Ph.D. Award. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Informatics and Systems and also a Researcher of the Intelligent Systems and Numerical Applications in Engineering Institute (SIANI), ULPG. His research interests include computer vision for human interaction, biometrics, machine learning and data mining.
