Professor, Abell Chair in Synthetic Biology, Colorado State University

Dr. Peccoud’s research program uses methods from synthetic biology to understand how DNA molecules encode biological functions. He is particularly interested in using methods from synthetic biology to optimize biomanufacturing processes and design new biological drugs. Peccoud is also actively engaged in efforts to understand the security implications of synthetic biology.
Dr. Peccoud is also the CEO of GenoFAB, Inc, a company providing process automation solutions to the biotechnology industry.
He is also the founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal Synthetic Biology published by Oxford University Press.
