Associate Professor, Director of Speech Pathology, Deakin University, Deakin University

Jemma is the Director of the Master of Speech Pathology at Deakin University, She previously held the role of academic lead for student assessment within the School of Medicine at Deakin. She obtained her PhD from La Trobe University in 2006, and she undertook her postdoctoral research training at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute focusing on population health and health services. Prior to working at Deakin, she was Senior Lecturer and Clinical Program Lead in Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne.

Jemma specialises in health professions education, clinical learning and student learning and assessment in higher education settings, as well as qualitative research methods and student collaboration and co-design. She has co-edited and contributed to academic texts, and has over 40 publications in these areas.
