Jennifer Provencher

Adjunct professor, Department of Biology, Carleton University

My research focuses on wildlife health, including contaminants, parasites and diseases, especially on the cumulative effects of plastic pollution in relation to contaminants, parasites and diseases in wildlife. Most of my research has focused on the Arctic, but I also work with partners on a variety of wildlife health issues across Canada, including chronic wasting disease in cervids. All of this work is done in collaboration with partners, including Indigenous, provincial, territorial and federal groups.
