Jenny Styger

I am a fire ecologist and fire planning expert based in Tasmania, obtaining my doctorate from the University of Tasmania in 2014. My research focuses on the social and ecological role of fire in the Tasmanian environment, with a focus on using fire to achieve nature conservation outcomes.

I have worked for the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service as a fire manager for the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, during which time I wrote a fire management plan for the property.
