Jesús Galindo-Zaldivar

Professor of Geodynamics, Universidad de Granada

Professor Jesús Galindo-Zaldivar graduated in Geology in 1985 and obtained a PhD degree by the University of Granada in 1990. He has held different teaching positions at the University of Granada from 1988 addressing geophysical prospecting, geological mapping and structural geology.

Since the postdoctoral period, his research focused on the integration of geological studies with offshore and onshore geophysical techniques (gravimetric, magnetic, geoelectric, magnetotelluric and seismic reflection data) and geodetic data to elucidate the development of active tectonic structures. Most of the studies were carried out in the Betic-Rif Cordillera and the Scotia Arc (Antarctica) and in addition in Argentina, Ecuador, Italy, Bulgaria and the Eastern Mediterranean.
