Researcher in Political Science, Inrae

Joana Guerrin is researcher at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE) in Strasbourg, France. She was trained in Political Science and Policy Analysis. Her research focuses on the government and governance of water-related risks. She has been mainly researching on the role of the State in governing floods on the Rhône River (France) and on drought governance in São Paulo (Brazil).
She is the French coordinator of FluidGov Project funded by the French National Research Agency, focusing on hydrosocial cycle as a framework to analyze flood governance in the Upper Rhône (Switzerland), Rhône delta (France) and Ganges Delta (India). She is also the coordinator of a research program funded by Post AgreenSkills Fund focusing on Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) for flood-related risks, comparing the governance of NbS between France and the US.
