I have studied ecology and conservation across 30 years in Asia, North and South America, and Africa, and continue both as a professor (CSU) and as a senior scientist for the Wildlife Conservation Society (Bronx Zoo), generally focusing on biodiversity issues with species larger than a bread box.
Elected Fellow of AAAS; lifetime achievement awards (Society of Conservation Biology, American Society of Mammalogists), and three-times a finalist for the Indianapolis Prize.
