Johannes Steizinger

Dr. Johannes Steizinger is Associate Professor at McMaster University (Hamilton, ON). He specializes in European philosophy of the 19th and early 20th centuries, primarily the German tradition. He is especially interested in political, social, cultural, and aesthetic issues.

Dr. Steizinger has published extensively on topics such as the identitarian ideology of the New Right, dehumanization, Nazi ideology, relativism, and the concept of life. He also examines how the unorthodox economic proposals of 19th-century philosophers can help us reimagining a fairer economic order.
