I write code to process, store, analyse and share geospatial data using open source tools (Python, QGIS, GRASS, PostGIS). I have been doing volcanology research since 2001 and have work on topics such as field mapping, physical volcanology, volcano monitoring, remote sensing and eruption modelling. I am also a visiting researcher at Edinburgh University and supervising PhD students both there and at the Open University.
