I am an academic hospital-based general internist in Hamilton, Ontario and an Associate Professor of Medicine at McMaster University. I lead an active research program aimed at improving the quality and quantity of advance care planning with patients who have serious illness, so that they can receive goal-consistent care near the end of life.
