José Luis Quero

Profesor Titular de Ingeniería Agroforestal, Universidad de Córdoba

Dr José Luis Quero Pérez has a degree in Biology from the University of Cordoba (1996-2002) and a PhD degree at the University of Granada (2003-2007). His main goal is to study ecosystems with a multidisciplinary approach. He has been learnt at 7 national and international research centres where he has worked. After his doctorate on regeneration of forest species in Sierra Nevada National Park, the researcher carried out his first postdoc at Wageningen University and Research Centre, an international reference in agronomy and forest sciences. After two years of postdoctoral training abroad (2008-2009), he got a research contract funded by the European Research Council (2010-2012). He has combined his research with teaching activities in most of institutions where he has worked, getting a position as Assistant Professor (tenured) at The Forest Engineering Department (University of Cordoba) since 2012.
