Josh Woods

Josh is a professor of sociology at West Virginia University. His research examines the causes and consequences of popularity. He is the author of several academic journal articles and books, and sometimes writes for mainstream media. His most recent book is "Emerging Sports as Social Movements: Disc Golf and the Rise of an Unknown Sport," published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021.
