My main research interest surrounds the cognitive functioning of individuals who use two or more languages in everyday life. Specifically, I have previously focused on the impact of adverse emotional states and traits on cognition, spoken language comprehension in the presence of interference, and higher-order cognitive abilities of bilinguals. I am a member of the Multilanguage & Cognition Lab at the UCL Institute of Education who are currently undertaking a large-scale investigation assessing the effects of multilanguage acquisition on cognition.
