Professor of Public Health, University of Sydney

Julie Redfern is a Professor of Public Health, a practicing Physiotherapist, a Professorial Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health and Research Academic Director (Researcher Development Output and Impact), Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. She has published over 180 manuscripts and 4 book chapters and has >15 years of experience developing, testing and implementing scalable strategies to close evidence-practice gaps and improve health outcomes for people with chronic disease. Professor Redfern currently holds a NHMRC Career Development Fellowship and is CIA on a NHMRC Synergy Grant (SOLVE-CHD). She is Co-Chair of the Clinical and Preventative Cardiology Council of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
