He has over 30 years of research and development experience in both academic and industrial working environments. Besides his strong interest in teaching bio-entrepreneurship, his specific research interest is in applying advanced agricultural biotechnology methods to provide crops tailored to market demands with better defenses against abiotic stresses and also to evaluate plants as ‘bio-factories’ for foreign protein production.
