I am Consultant in Health Security: Policing Pandemics for the World Health Organisation Geneva, Professor of Policing and Criminal Justice at Western Sydney University and Senior Research Associate of the Institute for the Future of Knowledge, University of Johannesburg.

I have a PhD in Psychology, MSc in Forensic Psychology and BSc Hons in Psychology. I am a Fellow of the U.K. higher Education Academy, Chartered Forensic Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and an FBI trained hostage negotiator.

My research focuses on police procedures particularly policing during pandemics and health security, and violence prevention focusing upon domestic abuse, harmful traditional practices and stalking.
