Professor of Law, Australian Catholic University

Kate is the Dean and Head of School of Law at Australian Catholic University. She researches in property law and legal education. Her property law research focuses on land tenure with particular interest on the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and environmental justice. She is a regular commentator on contemporary issues concerning the legal profession including equity diversity and inclusion in legal practice. Kate serves as the chair of the Australasian Law Academics’ Association and is deputy chair of the Environmental Defender's Office.
