Katherine Stapleton

PhD candidate, University of Oxford

My academic research focuses on the impact of higher education, trade and automation on employment trends. I mainly focus on China and am a Mandarin speaker. Prior to my PhD I worked as an Economic Advisor to Rwanda's Ministry of Trade, and have also worked for the Central Bank of Uganda, PwC and the UK's Civil Service, all in economics advisory roles. I hold an MSc in Economics for Development from Oxford University, where I am now working towards my PhD.
