Kathryn Backholer

Co-Director, Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition, Deakin University

Kathryn Backholer is co-Director of the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition, which includes a World Health Organisation Centre for the Prevention of Obesity. She leads a team of staff and students working to inform policy and practice of the most effective ways to improve diet-related ill-health and reduce social inequalities in health, with a key focus on harmful marketing to children and food pricing and affordability.
