Kathryn Dovel is a Ph.D. candidate in Health and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver. Her work focuses on gender-specific barriers to HIV testing and treatment services in southeastern Africa.

Kathryn has been an invited speaker at UNAIDS in Geneva, at multiple Ministry of Health meetings, and has published multiple articles on the topic of men and HIV services.

Kathryn Dovel's research interests include gender, sexual and reproductive health, gender and sexuality, HIV/AIDS, and SRH HIV/AIDS.
