Katy Chaffee completed her M.Sc and Ph.D in Psychology at the University of Alberta. Her research interests focus on motivation and foreign language learning. Her research examines the role of stereotypes and gender roles in men’s underrepresentation in female-dominated fields such as foreign language learning. Another line of research examines students’ academic motivation to learn foreign language within and across cultures.
