Kean Birch

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at York University, Canada. I'm also Graduate Program Director of the Science and Technology Studies (STS) Graduate Program and Co-Editor of the Science & Technology Studies (STS) journal "Science as Culture". I've recently published several books: one on the emergence of advanced biofuels in a market-centre bioeconomy; one on rethinking neoliberalism as a concept; one on the relationship between business and society; and one on regional innovation systems in the biotech sector. Overall, my research focuses on understanding the complexities of technoscientific capitalism.
