I act as coordinator, researcher, and manager on an array of motivating food-security projects in the University of Guelph's multidisciplinary "Feeding 9 Billion" initiative.
My MA degree in Geography, focused on social (in)justice in North American food systems. Specifically, I investigated alternative-food businesses' barriers to including low-income consumers.
I bring a grounded perspective to all of my food-systems work and research, having grown up in both commercial agriculture, followed by a decade working in small-scale, organic market-garden operation.
