I am a Lecturer in Strategic Studies and International Relations at the University of Reading, historian and researcher focusing on British defence policy from the Napoleonic Wars to the present. My other areas of interest are home defence and the Cold War as well as European Defence and the history of Nato.

I have published broadly on Nato, the Cold War, UK air defence and the Napoleonic Wars.
