Kevin L. Sample is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Marketing department of the Terry College of Business at UGA. His primary research interests are in the role of design in marketing, as well as how visual perception can affect our beliefs and judgments. This primarily stems from his interest in consumer welfare and his associated desire to help consumers and marketers find more sustainable, well-designed solutions that are beneficial to all.
Before entering the program, Kevin worked as a licensed architect on a range of projects from residential and university housing to regional hospitals and academic buildings. While enjoying the practice of architecture, he believed he could do more for people by pursuing his Ph.D., becoming a researcher, and producing evidence-based research to help guide the design fields.
